Connect with Tony O. Martin

We need communication between those who lead us, and those who live, work and raise children here every day.

Tony O. Martin was born and raised in the East Park Neighborhood of Beckley.  Tony had always dreamt of becoming a police officer, but a praying mom and a passion for business would lead his career in a totally different direction.

In pursuit of his childhood dream of being a police officer, Tony went on to study criminal justice at what was then the College of West Virginia.  During his college years, Tony worked part-time running errands for his Mom’s beauty shop and as a cashier in her convenience store.  It was during this time his passion for business and entrepreneurial spirit began to develop.

On June 17, 1995, Tony married his wife Jaymi, and they are proud to have had the opportunity to raise their three children here in the city they love.  Although he never became a police officer, his desire to help people and serve the community has never diminished.  As a local accountant, Tony has spent the past 23 years helping small business owners grow and manage their businesses.

Tony is not just a community member, he is an active participant.  With a deep-seated passion for youth programs, Tony consistently lends his skills and talents to various community organizations, in addition to his service to our community as a volunteer firefighter.  His involvement in these programs is a reflection of his compassion and care for our community’s future.

Tony wants to continue his commitment to Beckley as our Delegate for the 44th District in the West Virginia House of Delegates.  He believes an effective people climate is essential to retaining our talented youth, attracting new jobs and stimulating our economy.
